COLIN BAKER – THE 6TH DOCTOR!

Colin Baker

Mr. Baker made his first appearance as the Doctor in the final minutes of The Caves of Androzani, where he delivered his first few lines.

At the time of Baker’s casting as Davison’s successor he was the only actor portraying the Doctor to have appeared in the television series as another character prior to taking on the leading role (in 2013 Peter Capaldi was announced as the Twelfth Doctor after having previously appeared in another role in the 2008 episode “The Fires of Pompeii”). When Baker was cast to replace Davison, many fans cited that shooting scene in Arc of Infinity, prompting Baker to say jokingly that he got the part of the Doctor by killing the incumbent. Colin is no relation to Tom Baker, who played the Fourth Doctor previously in Doctor Who.

Baker’s first appearance as the Doctor occurred at the final minutes of The Caves of Androzani, where he delivered his first few lines. The closing title sequence for episode four features Baker’s face instead of Peter Davison and credits him as the Doctor before Davison’s own credit. This was the first (and, to date, only) time that the new lead received top billing in the final story of an outgoing Doctor. Baker then made his first full story debut the following week in The Twin Dilemma. It was the first time since 1966, and only the second time in the series’ history, that a new leading actor’s debut story was shown before the conclusion of the previous lead’s season.

JASON NARVY & PAUL SCHRIER – BULK & SKULL!

JASON NARVY & PAUL SCHRIER - BULK & SKULL!

Look, ya can’t have Cheech without Chong, Abbott without Costello, Lenny without Squiggy, Paul without Babe!! Bulk and Skull are fictional characters in the Power Rangers universe. They appeared as permanent cast members from Mighty Morphin Power Rangers until Power Rangers in Space. Bulk (by himself) was a recurring character in Power Rangers Lost Galaxy and Skull made a cameo appearance in the first episode, making the pair the two longest consecutively appearing characters in the program. They later returned for a Power Rangers Wild Force cameo and in Power Rangers Samurai, where Bulk is teaching Skull’s son Spike.

Farkas “Bulk” Bulkmeier (Paul Schrier) and Eugene “Skull” Skullovitch (Jason Narvy), from the very beginning, provided much of the comic relief in the series, usually through an over-the-top slapstick; their actions were often punctuated with cartoony sound effects, and they came with their own background music, which Jason Narvy has said was based on Skull’s laugh and “fat guy: tuba”. This was highlighted by their physical appearances: Bulk was heavyset and Skull was lean, similar in style to the comedy duo Laurel and Hardy. Bulk was the dominant member of the duo, and Skull would usually follow and attempt to emulate Bulk. Such is exemplified when Skull would repeat whatever Bulk had said, usually beginning with “Yeah.”

ACTOR - DAVID J. FIELDING!

We would also like to wish him a HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

David played Zordon, who was the mentor and father figure to a group of teenage superheroes who defended the earth from a number of evil and a…lien threats. Through their mastery of martial arts and with the aid of powerful and formidable fighting machines called Zords they fought against the powers of Rita Repulsa and Lord Zedd.

Zordon and his nemesis, Rita Repulsa, clashed over 10,000 years ago, with the fight lasting for 2,000 years. In their final battle, Rita managed to trap Zordon in a time warp while Zordon sealed Rita and her minions away in a container on the Moon. After the battle ended, Zordon, with the aid of his robot assistant Alpha 5, created a Command Center in the Californian desert as well as the Power Morphers, Power Coins, and Dinozords in order to prepare in case Rita was ever released from her prison. When Rita was released, Zordon, with Alpha 5’s help, recruited five teenagers (Jason Lee Scott, Zack Taylor, Kimberly Hart, Trini Kwan and Billy Cranston) to become Power Rangers, empowering them with the Power Morphers and giving them access to the Dinozords.
